THUNDER SCHOLAR (Top 4%/10%)
- Top 4% will be seated on the stand at graduation
- Top 10% are also recognized at graduation
- Student must be graduating with a 28-credit diploma to be eligible
- Thunder Scholars are determined after 3rd term is complete
- Top percentage placement is calculated by the following formula:
- ACT score (single, not superscore)
- Cumulative GPA x 10
- # full year AP classes successfully completed x 1
- # full year CE classes successfully completed x 0.5
- # full year language bridge classes successfully completed x 1
HONOR CORDS
- Student must be graduating with a 28-credit diploma
- Honor Cords are determined by cumulative GPA of 3.75 years
- 4.0 – 3.9 cumulative GPA is eligible for 2 cords
- 3.899 – 3.7 cumulative GPA is eligible for 1 cord
- Eligible students will receive a letter letting them know they can purchase them at the finance office
- Honor cords are $6 each
